All the Glory 2016

The beginning of the season was spent enjoying incredible powder; at the resort, and in the side country. Powder days tend to be bad photography days because, well, we’re just having too much fun to stop and shoot. By mid season, temps warmed, and we had a number of clear days; the snowpack stabilized nicely. Spring was spent in the big peaks, exploring new areas, and pushing boundaries, but also chasing storms between Wyoming and Utah. Our season closed with a seven day trip into the Wind River Range to ski Gannett Peak.

All the Glory 2015

After a promising start to the season, snowfall dwindled, and we were forced to go further to find captivating skiing. We pushed further into the backcountry, testing our physical fitness, our mental fortitude, and our fear threshold. After all of the early mornings, the long miles, and the occasional days with headlamp starts and finishes, we realized that it was always worth it, whether we found great snow, or the worst conditions imaginable. The adventure was always worth the walk.

These are the old ones, but good enough to make the cut. This is who we were, but still are. Through good and poor seasons, injuries and recoveries, exhausting or lenient work and school schedules; skiing is what we do.

SNOW!!!

Everything we want to do in life

All I want in life is to ski pow and drop cliffs.. maybe not all, but really close.. With 18-24 inches forecasted for our next storm arriving soon, it looks like my dream might come true. It's been a couple weeks since the last storm and I'm excited to ski some more of the greatest powder on earth!

The last series of storms to hit Utah were by far the best of the season! It dumped so hard on Thursday, Jan 9 that it was free refills all day! It continued to snow the following weekend, and got so deep in spots it was bottomless.

Even though it didn't snow for the next two weeks, we were able to find some good snow.

We were even able to ski the cirque for the first time this year.
